Every ranked guide on Paaiyaa follows the same method. This page explains it so you can judge our conclusions for yourself.
1. Who gets included
We start from every provider that meets the guide’s stated criteria — for example, “clinics in Bangkok treating acne with a licensed dermatologist on staff”. We do not start from a list of companies we have a relationship with.
Providers are included whether or not they respond to us, and whether or not they publish their prices.
2. What we check
For every provider in every guide, we verify at least one fact against a primary source and link to it.
| What we check | Where we check it |
|---|---|
| Licence to operate | Ministry of Public Health facility registry |
| Doctor credentials | Thai Medical Council |
| Equipment and devices | Thai FDA registration, provider’s own site |
| Years in operation | Provider’s own site, company registry |
| Price | Provider’s published price list, when one exists |
Every figure on this site carries the source it came from and the date we checked it.
3. On prices
Not every guide includes prices. Where treatment is sold as a course rather than a fixed package, a single “from” figure is misleading, so we publish what is included instead of a number that cannot be compared.
Where prices are published and comparable, we show them — including which providers do not publish a price at all. That is information too.
4. What we ignore
- Any commercial relationship with us
- Testimonials supplied by the provider
- Awards with no published judging criteria
- Social media following
5. What we cannot verify
Where a provider makes a claim we cannot check against a primary source, we say so rather than repeating it as fact. “Not published” and “could not verify” are answers we are willing to print.
6. Corrections
If we have recorded something incorrectly, write to corrections@paaiyaa.com. We correct factual errors at no cost, and requesting a correction does not affect a provider’s position in any guide.
Nothing on Paaiyaa is medical advice. Always consult a qualified clinician about your own situation.
